Let’s dive into how you can create more content without burning out.
The secret? Repurpose your content. It means taking existing content and using it in a new way or format to create something new.
There have been times when I felt like I was on a never-ending hamster wheel, creating new content with no end in sight. That was until I discovered and mastered the art of repurposing content. Not only did it help me save time, but it also helped boost my visibility and reach a wider audience.
Today, I’m going to be sharing with you exactly how you can do that – turn one piece of content into 15.
Now the first one is to create a long-form piece of content and ideally it’s best to have video content because video content has become increasingly popular and is an excellent way to connect with your audience, build your brand, and drive business growth in today’s digital age.
If video is not part of your current content strategy, then you can move on to the next long-form piece of content which is audio.
With long-form video, it is videos like what you see on YouTube. If you create that one piece of long-form video content, you can then turn that into another piece of long-form content that is audio like podcasts.
Now of course, if you’re wanting to create content natively for that platform, so say for example, for your podcast, then you might want to create additional sort of audio content and just put it together – your intro and your outro so that it doesn’t look like it has been a copy and paste from your video.
You want to make that the repurposed content is created natively for that platform.
So now once you have your podcast, you can turn your podcast into a transcript that you can use as a blog post for your website and even for your LinkedIn article.
Of course, this is going to sound like a conversational video or podcast. So go through the entire script and just tidy up, put in the different types of formats – bold, italic or put in some dotted points and make it more fun by adding in an image.
Then you can use the majority of the content that you have used for your blog post and LinkedIn article in your newsletter. Don’t just copy and paste, add a personal story so that your newsletter audience can relate.
This is how you’re getting all of your content seen everywhere. Your audience that’s on your email list, they might not have seen that on your blog post or social media.
With your long-form content and turn that into short-form content. That will be for your social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest ( and whatever platforms you are on)
For example, on Instagram, you can even dive deeper and create a carousel post, Instagram stories and a static feed post. Everybody has a different way of absorbing information so don’t worry about repeating the information you are sharing.
Then once you have all this short-form content, you can now turn it into short-form videos – Facebook and Instagram Reels, your Instagram stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and even Idea Pins on Pinterest.
And so with all of that, you now have 15 pieces of content.
Repurposing content allows you to work smarter, not harder and gives you more time to focus on what you do best in your business and at the same time you are boosting your visibility.
