Today I’m going to be sharing with you on how you can batch your content for Instagram Reels. Now, if you haven’t heard already, Instagram Reels has just launched a new feature called Reels.
And previously it was, you’re able to create bite sized videos of up to 15 seconds. But with the new update, you can now create bite size videos of up to 30 seconds, which is really great because you can share more valuable information .
And you must be wondering that you already do not have enough time in a day to create content for your Instagram Feed, Stories are IGTV. And now there’s Reels, and you just cannot cope with managing your time to create the content for Instagram Reels.
So, today I’m going to be sharing with you how you can really batch your content, at least for the next 7 days.
All you have to do is take out some time, one day in a week to create the content for the entire week. After creating the content, edit, let it sit in your drafts and just upload it on a daily basis.
Instagram is really pushing out Reels at the moment. If you want to just enjoy the great organic reach, Reels is where you should be putting some effort in at the moment.
The next thing that might be stopping you from creating more Instagram Reels is you find it hard to actually share valuable content in just 30 seconds.
There are two ways to go about looking for inspiration and ideas. The first one is you can look through Instagram Reels itself and see how other people are communicating the message and sharing the information that they have.
The second place is to go through Tik Tok. I find it hard to repurpose the content when I’m editing through Reels so I prefer using Tik Tok where you can save down the entire video.
It is not my main platform where I share my content and message but I personally use it as a source of editing. Tik Tok has better functionality and usability. At the time of writing this, editing on Reels has been very “glitchy” for me. Do let me know if this is the same for you?
So, go ahead and select whichever platform that you feel more comfortable on looking for inspiration and ideas.
The next thing you want to do is to select 7 ideas that you can use for your business. Once you have those ideas down, film it, select the music, save it down in drafts and slowly upload it on a daily basis onto Reels.
When it comes to editing for Reels, there’s one thing that you have to bear in mind. There are two ways that your audiences are actually viewing Instagram reels. The first one is on your Instagram feed, which is a 4:5 ratio and the second one is the 9:16 ratio.
When you are editing, especially when you’re putting all of the information or words like tips or hacks on your screen, you have to ensure that your audiences are able to read it in both dimensions.
Most people are actually viewing your feed in 4:5 ratio. If you do not place the wordings in that area, some of your information will get cut off unless they are viewed in the other dimension.
The only time that your audiences are viewing the 9:16 dimension is when they are inside reels itself, scrolling through the different Reels that they are watching.
Here are some of my tips when it comes to Reels. The first one is that you need to send further away from the camera for you to have the space in putting the information that you want on your Reel.
For example, if I’m filming a Reel, where I’m just standing in front of the camera, just pointing at my tips, hacks or information that I just want to share, I need to ensure that there is space to put on the video.
The second one is that you need to have space to place your text. So if you’re dancing pointing your fingers around, ensure that you have enough space to put in the text in order for your audience to read your information easily.
The third one is Reels doesn’t allow you to save your video with music. This is the reason why I personally prefer to use Tik Tok because I can save the entire video, including the music in order for me to be able to repurpose on other social media platforms.
If you do not have any intention to repurpose the video, then it is alright for you to just create the video natively on Instagram Reels itself.
The fourth tip is if you are creating a batch of content, and you want to have a change of clothes for every two to three videos, all you have to do is just change your top and add on some accessories to just look different in your videos.
Here’s a recap on how you can batch your content for Instagram reels. You now have inspiration and ideas that you can look through on two different platforms, which is Reels and Tik Tok. Select 7 ideas that you can use for your business and go ahead and film them.
When it comes to editing your Instagram Reels. Please ensure that you do not make the same mistake as I did. There are two ways that your audiences are actually viewing Reels.
Remember if you are putting out text or any information that you want your audiences to read, make sure that they are able to see it based on a four by five dimension.
Go ahead and start creating Reels for next week. Now, I’m thinking of creating a 30-day Instagram Reels challenge. Let me know in the DM, if you are interested in joining this challenge.
