As a business owner, I know you wear multiple hats and that you have many activities to do in a day and across the week. I get that because I have been there.
It’s hard finding the time to market your business online because all your time is spent on managing the business and also focusing on your zone of genius. This is why I’m here to share with you the RACE method that you can do in just 5-minutes to market your business.
R for Repurpose
If you have created a Reel or a regular post on Instagram, you can repurpose this onto Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok. All you need is just five minutes where you schedule that one video for these 4 platforms.
I’ve got a lot of questions if it is a great idea to repurpose a Reel onto LinkedIn, as this is more of a professional platform. My answer would always be yes! You can repurpose anything that you like, as long as you feel comfortable. You’ve got to go against the grain in order to stand out. There is no right or wrong.
I would repurpose my Reels onto LinkedIn and I’m not afraid to share the same content that I’ve put out on Instagram, even if it’s a Reel or a video of me dancing, singing or lip-synching.
Bear in mind that there are some people that are going to leave you negative comments saying that this video shouldn’t be on LinkedIn. That shouldn’t stop you from posting or repurposing your Reels onto LinkedIn.
A for Awareness
Show up consistently to create brand awareness for people to know who you are, and what you have to offer. If you haven’t heard of the Rule Of Seven – people need to see you at least seven times. This is for your followers to know of your existence and even more times to turn them to a client.
There are different forms to consistently show up. If your main platform of communication with your ideal clients is Instagram, then show up on stories three to four times a day. It’s not necessarily showing everything that you do throughout the day, you can show things that are related to the business or even a glimpse of your personal life if you want to.
You can show them behind the scenes of your meeting with your coaching client or creating the content for your business. You can just show them that you’re at your computer, creating a new program for your audience. All you need is just five minutes to get that done.
C for Connection
Build a relationship with your audience who are your ideal clients. You have to remember these people only buy from people that they know and they trust.
You can get into the DM and message your ideal client on what they want to see more from you. If someone sends you a direct message for help, you let them know that you’ll be creating that content for them to see in the upcoming days, weeks or months.
E for Engage
You might have read online that you need to spend hours and hours engaging with your audiences. You don’t have to do that, you only need five minutes to engage with your audience so you can focus more on what you do best.
You can respond to all of the comments that people have left you on your posts, people replying to your stories and your DMs. Engage with them and leave meaningful comments, to actually see that you are wanting to genuinely create that connection and that relationship.
I’ve seen people leaving a string of emojis, that doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t foster any sort of relationship. You need to build rapport and share with them how you can help them.
There you have it, the very simple RACE method – Repurpose, Awareness, Connect and Engage. Each of these tasks only requires five minutes, in total we’re looking at about 20 minutes of your day that you can do to market your business online.
If you want to do it in 20 minutes all at once as your morning schedule, then go for it. You can also spread it across the day, just taking five minutes for each of these tasks to build your business.
